Overview
Vitara is designed to help you view Apple Health data and generate optional AI-powered health insights. We only access health data after you grant permission through Apple Health.
Vitara is not a medical app or medical device. Dashboards, AI summaries, and chat answers are for informational reference only and do not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Health Data
Vitara reads selected Apple Health data locally through HealthKit after you grant permission in iOS. Depending on the features you enable, this may include activity, workouts, heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen, respiratory rate, sleep, mindfulness, body measurements, mobility, hearing, hydration, and dietary energy data.
This data is used to display dashboards, trends, metric detail screens, AI summaries, chat answers, scheduled analysis, and local history inside the app. Health data is not used for advertising or tracking.
Vitara does not sell health data. Vitara does not use health data for advertising or tracking.
AI Analysis
AI features are optional. On supported devices, Vitara can use Apple Intelligence for on-device AI analysis without requiring an API key. You can also choose to configure a custom LLM endpoint using OpenAI Chat Completions, OpenAI Responses, or Anthropic Messages.
Before Vitara sends personal data to a custom AI service, the app explains what data may be sent, identifies the configured recipient endpoint/provider, and asks for your permission.
When you allow AI data sharing and use a custom endpoint for AI analysis, chat, AI insight bubbles, or scheduled analysis, Vitara may send selected Apple Health summaries, metric values, workout/sleep/activity context, enabled Memory entries, your prompt text, and chat context needed to answer your request to the LLM endpoint that you configure in the app.
Vitara does not operate a backend AI proxy and does not store AI request data on a Vitara server. When you choose a custom third-party endpoint, that provider processes the data according to its own privacy, security, and retention terms. You should only configure an AI provider that you trust and that provides privacy and security protections equivalent to those you expect for personal health data.
AI-generated content may be incomplete or incorrect. For medical concerns, abnormal symptoms, or urgent questions, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
Local Storage
Vitara stores app configuration, What changed threshold preferences, AI analysis history, chat sessions, analysis templates, AI response language preferences, scheduled analysis settings, Memory entries, and memory settings locally on your device using Apple frameworks such as SwiftData. Custom LLM API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain. Deleting the app deletes local app data from the device, subject to standard iOS backup and restore behavior.
Diagnostics
Vitara may collect crash and performance diagnostics to improve app reliability. Diagnostics are not used for advertising or tracking.
Product Feedback
When you view or close the Pro paywall, Vitara may send coarse product-usage events to its analytics providers, currently TelemetryDeck and PostHog, including the paywall trigger, plan, app version, and whether feedback was skipped, submitted, or followed a cancelled purchase.
If you submit paywall feedback, Vitara sends only the selected reason and whether you entered a short note. The note content itself is not sent, and these events do not include Apple Health data, prompts, AI responses, payment details, or API keys. You can skip the feedback prompt.
If you submit feedback on an AI output, your feedback helps us improve Vitara's analysis logic and the accuracy of future analyses. Vitara keeps the submitted feedback available locally for that analysis and sends only bounded feedback metadata to its analytics providers, including PostHog: a 1–5 rating, one predefined feedback option, and coarse surface and analysis-context fields. This feedback form has no free-text field; Apple Health data, AI output, prompts, and Memory entries are not sent with the feedback, and submitting feedback does not call an AI provider.
If you submit the website feedback form, the feedback category and message are stored in Vitara's feedback database and may be sent to our private Telegram review channel so we can triage product issues. You can leave the email blank to submit anonymously. If you provide an email, it is used to reply when needed or to contact you about the optional Pro feedback program; it is not sent to analytics providers.
Feedback submissions should not include Apple Health exports, diagnoses, medical records, or other sensitive personal information. Anonymous submissions can help improve Vitara but cannot be matched to a Pro follow-up.
For the one-time local Pro trial, Vitara may also send coarse install and trial-grant events containing an app-generated random opaque trial identifier, the trial duration, and an install classification such as first install, migration, or reinstall after a prior trial. The identifier is stored in the device-bound iOS Keychain and is not IDFA, IDFV, an Apple Account identifier, an email address, a name, or a hardware serial number. It is used only to analyze repeated installations and trial abuse; these events do not include Apple Health data, prompts, AI responses, payment details, or API keys.
Pro Purchases
Vitara Pro Lifetime one-time purchases and Vitara Pro Monthly subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Website Analytics
The Vitara website uses Google Analytics and PostHog to understand page usage and improve the site. PostHog receives anonymous page-view identifiers and coarse events such as App Store link clicks, waitlist submission outcomes, FAQ opens, Discord clicks, and video starts. Website analytics do not receive Apple Health data, prompts, AI responses, or waitlist form contents, and are separate from Apple Health data in the app.
Your Choices
You can change Apple Health permissions in the iOS Settings app. You can delete local app data by deleting the app from your device. You can remove or change custom LLM endpoints in Vitara settings.
You can revoke custom-endpoint AI data sharing permission in Vitara's AI Settings. Vitara asks for permission again if you change the configured AI endpoint or model.
